Thought I’d give it a chance.
School is always looked upon as an annoying
responsibility life throws at you. Everyone complains that school starts, but I don’t. School is like a second home to me. My friends make fun of me for it, but think of it like this:
You start off there when you’re five and stay there till you’re seventeen or eighteen. You have teachers, friends and enemies. Within these walls you become yourself through all the fights, classes and events. Because of Authority, you learn things you’d never know. They are blamed for making your life hell when struggles are what you’re going to go through. You learn new stuff, entertaining or boring. The good thing about boring stuff is it’s usually the most meaningful. For example, Math; You may look at it as numbers put together to make more numbers, but everyone needs to know it. You’re given education for free. It makes a path for you so you can get a job to make money for college to get an even better one. Nothing’s more pleasurable than success. It’s like a weight has been lifted from your shoulders. To know you can rely on yourself and nobody else is very wonderful. There are plenty of people who marry or date others who don’t have the best character, but have money, and stay with them because they don’t believe they have the power to be on their own. School offers you so many things that nothing else can. You become stronger, more motivated and happier. So the next time school rolls around, think of it as a gift. Another great thing towards life.

I really liked this. It was a great piece, especially the part where you talked about how school can help you become independent and when you said it was a gift. And you really chose the perfect picture to go with it. Good job!
I really liked this as well. It reminds me of how I used to, and still partly, think of school. I remember a lot of my friends hating school, and going to class, but I knew that they wouldn’t rather stay home because they wouldn’t be able to see their friends as often, or be able to challenge themselves on different levels. School was a second home to me as well. It was a place where I could be really social, and also receive a special type of pleasure from academic success. “Within these walls you become yourself through all the fights, classes and events.” It’s true. Going to school is a unique experience, and within that are other diverse experiences such as going to a private school instead of a public, or being home-schooled opposed to the other two. I really hope that you keep writing more, this brought back great memories for me haha.
